A stress relief display in the entrance to the library

It’s midterm exam time here at Abington Friends School.  As the students enter the library, they have to walk around this sign:Image

Around the entrance to the lobby are different ways of relieving stress, with props for students to actually to practice some of the methods right here. Image

I loaded a digital frame with pictures of baby animals and put it out next to the sign that reads, “Look at pictures of baby animals.”ImageImageImageImageImage

ImageAt the end of the display is a sign that reads:  Now go get some work done!Image

I’ve had students sit with the stuffed animals, cuddling with them while they study.  The blanket and pillow have been moved around for napping.  At the “listen to music” station I have an old walkman that fascinates some of them.  “Look how big it is!”

It’s been fun.  I have some chocolate kisses on hand to give out if someone asks, but so far, no one has commented on it.  Image
