We found over 50 diaries in our collection- a great range of fiction and non-fiction to put on our display this week.
I made the giant diary out of cardboard covered in bulletin board paper. The page block is a box covered in white paper and I wrapped a piece of cardboard around it.
The most fun I had working on this display was writing the diary entries from the library. Our library seems to have a spirit that is very much alive. It has played tricks on us, (by dropping the book Fallen by Lauren Kate on the floor so it looked like it had fallen there), it has been helpful, it has experiences new things (a bird in the library!). The library wrote about these happenings and others in its own journal. Unfortunately it is the week before midterms so the students don’t have much time to stop and read the journal pages, but it was fun to write them
